Biggest fleet of inductively charged e-buses to date

In 2003 Turin decided to take 23 full electric buses into service for two bus lines and to charge the buses on the basis of opportunity charging. Equipped with 63 kWh lead-gel batteries (originally), the buses can be charged every 6.2 or 5.2 km, depending on the line they serve. 200 km in the city center of Turin are covered typically by a bus per operation day.
